The Ministry has opened the registration door for young cinematic talents wishing to participate in the training programs through the electronic platform https://engage.moc.gov.sa/film-talent, and the registration period continues from today Wednesday 9 October to next Monday 14 October 2019 AD. For the two programs implemented in Britain, while the registration period for the program established in Riyadh will start from October 20 to November 20, 2019 AD, provided that the names of the participants are determined according to the terms and conditions on the online platform. The first phase of the Talent Development Program includes three training programs, the first in filmmaking in cooperation with the British Institute of Filmmaking, which is one of the most important educational institutions in Britain, to implement a program that will be held in Britain for a period of two weeks from October 27, 2019 to November 11, 2019 for 12 students. , Through an intensive training course and a Master Class with British filmmakers and producers, and a field visit to the International Pinewood Studio. The second training program directs its attention towards filmmaking skills under the production line in cooperation with the British Institute of Filmmaking and Pine Wood Studio, to implement a two-week program from October 27, 2019 to November 11, 2019 for 20 students. The program gives participants an overview of the art of filmmaking and the role of Everyone working under the production line to help them choose the right field for them within this industry, such as: lighting, sound, decoration, text follow-up, assistant director, director of the shooting site. The third training program is the Professional Acting Skills Program in cooperation with the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California, and it lasts for two weeks from December 8 to December 19, 2019 for 14-16 students, and the program is designed to provide the performance and acting techniques most used in contemporary cinema and television for the purpose of assisting Participants will focus on emotional and physical expression, and easy access to the character they want to portray, and the program will be held in Riyadh. The Talent Development Program is an intensive knowledge package in filmmaking, from writing a script to a completed film, through an application experience for the applicant and within different industry work teams, and it includes internal and external photography, dealing with actors, montage, lighting and sound. The program is part of the initiative to strengthen the local film sector, which is implemented by the Ministry of Culture within the initiatives of the Quality of Life Program, one of the programs for achieving the Kingdom's vision 2030. The initiative aims to develop the cinematic infrastructure in the Kingdom and create job opportunities related to the sector, in addition to increasing the Kingdom’s contribution.
